Images in the ANR Repository
Question
Are the ANR Repository images the right size for PowerPoint?
Answer
CSIT uploads JPEG images at 1024x738 for PowerPoint and many also have higher resolution images available for download at the same time. IPM's images are much smaller but larger images can be requested online if a hi-rez image is not already available for download. Thousands of images are also uploaded by ANR academics and staff at "whatever" sizes, usually their camera's resolution which exceed PowerPoint's default screen size. That's OK since PPT has robust resizing capability built-in so there is no such thing as an image too big for PPT. Anyone unfamiliar with PowerPoint's image handling features should consult the Lynda.com tutorials accessed from everyone's ANR Portal. PowerPoint's use of image files has changed significantly in the past several years with easy access to image compression features.
